Who I Am

Being an artist is what I do, not who I am. Art is a language, evoking emotional responses. Color itself contains vibrational signatures, nothing in the natural world is static. Because I’ve never been a fan of or appreciate inflated self-imagines I have often been shy when it comes to talking about myself resulting in an absence: meaning, I don’t always remember my accomplishments. As for myself, art allows for a uniquely unspoken spiritual voice, drawing out clarity with my Father.

The Creator’s eye guides my vision allowing the viewer and myself to experience the subject through the lens of The Great I AM, the Creator of where through Him all things consist. Starting with a spark of inspiration., conceptualizing the finial art piece before any pencil has made it’s mark. It is in my very essence so far beyond my DNA that creativity cannot be taught but skills are learned. It’s a very particular way of thinking, translating into a visual understanding, while taking in the world. A spiritual journey, an act of love, where I commune with the Lord God and interpret the physical world as He inspires me.

My earliest exposure was behind the lens of a camera, through a view finder I learned about symmetry and editing. I trained earnestly taking studio classes in college exposing myself to the principles of design while reinforcing my skills in fundamental and advance drawing and illustration, 2-D, 3-D design, printmaking (I have an Artist resume). While foundational skill is important it is through my most intimate connection that I am an extension of and with the Ultimate Creator the Lord God Himself. This is Who I Am.
